Cut into the light,

divide it like the months

spent underground where

secrets and conspiracies flourish.

Snap up the fruit before the roots

are culled, and drink the water

after a long walk, take in

and sense the true blessing all around you,

the blessing of soulmate love, of the vision

you sought, realized. This is your offering,

your recording. Weave your joy

through the stark-heart of survival

and watch it

be warmed.
